When we left off we had drawn an Income Statement profitability graph, now let's graph some
comparative Balance Sheet data.
So let's start on our Balance Sheet and let's grab then our Cash and Cash equivalents on
our live projected Balance Sheet and then let's navigate to insert and let's click
the drop down and plot that 2D column graph we liked and let's cut it and put it back
onto the Dashboard where we'll put it underneath with the graph selected again.
We said we were going to make these three by 4.3 and then something else that's nice
to do is I'm going to highlight the first graph, control click that second graph and
then let's shape format, align and I'm going to align them to the left just to make sure
that they're perfectly aligned next to each other.
Let's change this chart title to Cash and Cash equivalents and that way we can look
at some Balance Sheet information on how Cash changed.
Let's go ahead and make that bold too and let's see if we can't get then our data on
the bottom so we're going to go back to chart design, we're going to select data and then
off that Balance Sheet we're going to click on the edit for the horizontal category and
off that Balance Sheet again, we'll highlight those values and click okay and click okay
again so that we get our years underneath.
Then let's go ahead and under chart design let's get that legend back up at the top and
then let's get series one under chart design, select data, we're going to edit this and
we're going to call this blue again revised because it's tied to the live Balance Sheet
and we click okay and okay again and then that way our revised matches above and below
but it is a different color so once again let's click on one of those columns then go
to that format, format selection and from the paint can let's make our fill be that
dark blue color again so that it all matches up.
So let's get some orange revised on there, similar to how we did with the Income Statement
we're going to need some dummy values from the Balance Sheet so we select the balance
sheet and right mouse click and move or copy, let's create a copy of the Balance Sheet and
put it next to the other Balance Sheet and like we did last time let's select all the
values on the Balance Sheet and let's copy those and then let's paste those as values
so that you can see that those are now just numbers where the Balance Sheet itself was
consisted of dynamic formulas tied to the Assumptions.
So now back to the Dashboard with the graph selected let's go to chart design, select
data, let's add a new series of data and this will be again our Baseline set of data
where the values will come not off Income Statement 2 but Balance Sheet 2 where we will
select those numbers 2026 through 2030 of our Cash and Cash equivalents click OK, click
oK again let's select on one of those so that we can go to the options here and like we
did up above let's make that a zero overlap and then I think I like the 55 gap width is
that what I did up above no I did 150 gap width so let's make them the same so we'll
make those 150 also so now they're matching in size shape and color and let's see how
they work if I went back then to my Assumptions and I got Optimistic about something like
Net Sales growth then when I go to my Dashboard I should see now how my Cash will grow significantly
up to over 8 million dollars compared to just the 6 million and that's just with one Optimistic
assumption made.
Now that I have those in there let's go ahead and both hide Income Statement 2 and then
hide Balance Sheet 2 so that they're not seen to the users and then that way they just exist
inside of my model that I will then change back to Baseline before we continue onward
and in the next video we'll plot our last graph which will be an area graph for total
current Assets we'll see you then.
